The 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards aired last night (October 12), and the show was highlighted by some of the illest cyphers in the award show’s history. Viewers were treated to verses from Kanye, Common, Wiz Khalifa, Raekwon, Royce Da 5’9, Rev Run, and Ice Cube, just to name a few. No worries if you missed the show, DC has every cypher right here. Check ’em out and tell us who you think killed it.
Rev Run with Diggy and JoJo, Ice Cube with OMG and Doughboy
This cypher is ill for a number of reasons. You have two legends in the game, they’re spitting with their sons, and Diggy is one of the nicest young rappers in hip hop.
G.O.O.D. Music-Kanye, Pusha T, Big Sean, CyHi Da Prince, Common
The professionals go to work in this cypher, right down to the crispy suits. Some of the illest verses of any cypher.
Raekwon, Wiz Khalifa, Bones Brigante, Yelawolf
This cypher showcases three artists that are rising fast in hip hop, and of course, the legend Rae the Chef.
Royce Da 5’9, Tyga, Kuniva, Diamond
Another ill cypher featuring newcomers and veterans. Tyga and Diamond are new to the game, while Royce is an accomplished vet and Kuniva is best known as part of Detroit rap group D-12.
Mickey Factz, Reek Da Villian, Zawcain
The only cypher to feature all new artists in hip hop. These young dudes are ill.
