Throwback Thursdays – Big Daddy Kane

This week for Throwback Thursday we bring you a video by Big Daddy Kane.  Antonio Monterio Hardy, also known as Big Daddy Kane, a legendary hip hop artist coming out of the 1980’s.  He is one of the members of Queens based group the Juice Crew, a collective headed by renowned producer Marley Marl. Other members include Biz Markie, Roxanne Shanté and Kool G Rap.
Big Daddy Kane is considered by many as one of the most influential MC’s in the golden age of hip hop.  He is highly respected by many other hip hop legends in the game, RZA rating him one of his top 5 artist of all time. MTV rated him NO. 7 on their list of Greatest MCs of All Time. Big Daddy is a great lyricist but his talents don’t just end their, he co-wrote some of Biz Markie’s best known lyrics.  
He is known for being one of the pioneers of fast rap.  He has a very smooth flow and has the ability to keep up with the fast scratches and beats.  In the video “Aint No Half Steppin” you see Big Daddy Kane at his best with his signature high-top haircut and gold linked chain.
